The tank doesnt have a petcock on it, so I had another tank I had laying around strapped to it for fuel, and testing purposes.
I got it to start and run, but not extrememly well. Up to about 4500 RPM's its a dog, and cutouts out really bad, and will just about die. Above 4500 or so, it seems to run great, awesome actually.
Any ideas on what to check first? I am thinking carb trouble, but am not sure. I took the bowls off the carbs and cleaned them out, but something is just not right. Do you guys think the carbs need to be balanced?
I know that the stock pertcock is vaccum operated to an extent, so i had the vaccum line from the carbs plugged up. Could this be causeing the problems? I wouldnt think so since it runs fine up top...
Any ideas would be great. I am thinking abour taking it to a local shop this weekend, but am willing to try anything first...Thanks in advance...
