    Soaking new clutch fibres

    Hello,
I finally bought some new clutch fibres and springs.
10% heavier springs, hoping this will cure the dreaded slipping clutch.

Goodridge part nos CK3335 and CSK06 for fibres and springs respectively.

anyway, how long should i soak the fibres for in clean motor oil?

    Cheers

FYI, when I replaced the clutch discs on my 1100G I soaked them for only a few hours, and several thousand miles later (of mostly aggressive riding) I've not had any issues with them.

If that changes I'll let you all know.

Sir, might I inquire where you bought them and what they cost you?
My fibers cost me over a hundred bucks 2 years ago, and feel like mine are slipping.

OK, Im in Australia, and bought them from John Stamnas Pty LTd.

although Im sure Goodridge is a US brand?

                I paid $AUD131.82 for the fibres = $USD 98.87
                springs $31.82AUD = $23.87 USD approx.

                hope this helps.

                Cheers

the old fibres didnt look too worn, however looked glazed.

PS i soaked the new fibres overnight.
