Question if anyone can help me? I have an 83 GS750ES and i am currently running a 130-90-17 in the rear. I would like to know if a 140-80 would fit with rubbing anywere. Does anyone know if this tire size will fit.

Something to consider...I run a 130-90-17 on the back of my 1100E. I have also ran a 140-80 on it also. What I found was that the tire did not last near as long as the 130. The reason explained to me was that the 140 was being pinched on the rim (I have a 2.5" rear rim) causing the tire to actually have a smaller contact patch with the road. I later read an article in one of the national motorcycle magazines that also confirmed that.Originally posted by Big_DQuestion if anyone can help me? The rim is not wide enough. You would have to swap to a later model wheel BOTH front & rearComment
