    PART DESCRIPTION ENGINE 82 450 GS TX

    WHAT IS THE PROPER TERM FOR THE FOUR RUBBER PARTS BETWEEN THE FINS OF OUTER PART OF ENGINE AND THERE USE ? IS IT JUST FOR LOOKS? WHERE CAN BUY A FEW? I AM MISSING 2.

    I understand tehy do two things.
    1. Reduce engine noise from the fins
    2. Direct airflow into the fins toward the cylinders.

    Or maybe they just look cool. I doubt Suzuki would have put them there for looks and no other reason.

      If you want to replace them you can go to Bike Bandit (<- part 18 ) or similar site, search on the CYLINDER HEAD parts fische, they are called 'rubber pads'.
