Wiring Hell

Hey All:
I just had my bike at the local mechanic's shop(not a motorcycle mechanic), and he couldn't change my R/R over because the wires didn't match up. I printed off something from a post here about how to do it, but the color of wires were different, and he was afraid to touch it. So, maybe you can help me out!
One the old R/R, there is a brown wire with a white tracer to the fuse panel; a red wire; a white wire with a red tracer; a white wire with a green tracer; and a yellow wire.
One the old Honda one, there is 3 yellows; 1 red with white tracer; 1 black with brown tracer; and 1 green one.
How am I supposed to make these match up? and Where do I put the extra wire? Your help is much appreciated....if I get a quick response, I can get in back in today!!

The 3 yellow wires connect to the 3 stator wires in any order. Don't mind if the stator wires are different colors.

The red wire w/white tracer connects to the red wire in the wiring harness.

The green wire is a ground wire. It can be connected to the battery negative terminal or other good ground.

The black w/brown tracer is a voltage sense wire. It connects to a circuit that is activated by the ignition switch, so that it has 12V only when the switch is on. This can be connected at the fuse panel to a source activated by the ignition switch.

Alright...
This much I have figured out.....yellow to yellow, yellow to white/red, yellow to white/green, red/white to red, green to earth.....the post I found says black to orange, but the mechanic says no orange....is it black to brown/white?

Should be black to white/orange which is usually the power to the coils and is activated when the key is turned on.
