    1981 Gs650e

I bought this bike a month ago knowing it only ran on 2 cylinders. It has a Vance and Hines 4 into 1 exhaust. I took the carbs off and found it was all busted up on the inside. Rather than refurbishing the carbs I bought a stock set on Ebay. When I got them I took them apart and cleaned them up and put them on the bike with all stock jets and no changes made. My problem is, I was told jet modifications need to be made to the stock jets to allow for the custom exhaust. This bike runs excellent as is and I can't imagine it running any better no matter what I would do including jet changes. My question is am I doing any damage to anything running it with stock jets. It runs so good that I want to leave well enough alone.

So long as the pipes aren't turning blue you should be alright. Bob

Check the spark plugs to see how it is burning

Thanks, I will eyeball the plugs before doing much else.
