    Is this damage or normal?

    Is this damage or are these kinds of marks typical on a clutch basket?

      They sure don't look normal to me. The scuff marks around the perimeter may have been caused by some hamfisted mechanic. Maybe he clamped something around it to hold it while loosening the clutch hub nut. Can't explain the bevel around the outer edge.

          Have had trouble with both GS 1150 1984 and GSX 1100 1981 clutch basket but never seen anything like this.

              That's not normal...does it appear to be wear or a one time indention? Does the basket appear to be warped?
