    Me and my 530 conversion

So I am just about done buttoning up my conversion on the 83 1100ED.
    What a sweetie she is\\/
    I went from the stock 630 set-up with 96 running C/S 15 rear 42 sprockets.

I decided to go with SunStar sprockets running C/S 16 and rear 45.
The chain I have is a EKZVX with 115 links.

ZVX Series: The Extreme Chain for Extreme Bikes
Anyone with a Hayabusa, ZX-12 or one of the new generation of 180hp literbikes knows how hard they are on chains. EK steps up with an incredibly strong Quadra-X Ring chain that has proven its superiority in controlled lab tests. ZVX chains are also great for any bike that?s been modified for more-than-stock horsepower. The 530ZVX is available in colors.
Recommended application: over 1000cc, up to 180hp
Available colors: gold, chrome, red, blue, yellow
    Tensile strength: 10,560 lbs
    .
I went with chrome to match the bike, silver, and it doesn't look to bad. I tis really silver so not so much bling8-[

Once I get photos and street time I will get out more.

Ahhhh, same chain I'm using on the 1150. I have about 8k miles on the chain and dont need to make the 1st adjustment yet. Probably will though in another 8 thou. LOL

      Good choice.

I would feel much more comfortable with this high strengh 530 chain than the 520 conversions some are using with 1100s and 1150s.

As a comparison, the D.I.D. OEM type 630 O ring chain has a tensile strength of 10,820 lbs.

I can't wait to see a picture of those links bouncing off the sunlight.

The highest I have seen for a 630 chain is 11,000+.

I buttoned her up this afternoon and went for a trial run of about 5 miles thru the neighborhood.
Remember it is cloudy, about 25 with windchill of 10, but =P~ \\/

I thought it pulled like a train before.............DAMN

Now pulls like the Apollo moon rockets

What a nice difference just with that short of a ride. Can't wait until 50's and 60's get here to do some serious riding.

As soon as I get pictures loaded, I will post.

i just got a 530 15 tooth c/s and a 42 tooth rear and a 530 100 link RK rx chain for around 80 bucks, but after reading this post it looks like i will need atleast 15 more links in my chain to fit on my gs1000 w/ a 1100 swing arm.

can i just order like 20 more links some where of the same chain i have? and just rivet clip the chain together?
