'79 GS850 Rear tire

Dunlop doesn't make the original tire size in the Elite II anymore, will a 130/90 17 fit? Also known as MT90 17. This tire is apparently 10 centimeters wider.

Right--its hard to find the original size. I just ordered a 130/70 Dunlop for mine since that's what it had on it when I bought it. All the tire people I've talked with say its no big deal. Front tires are a lot easier.

Its not 10 centimeters bigger though! That would be WAY to big! :-D

As a previous owner of a 79 GS850 G and a current owner of a GS850GL and GS1000G, That 130/90-17 is and has been the size tire that goes on the back wheel, It will fit just fine. I have a 130/90-17's on my 2 G models right now.
