Exhaust leak. Need help!

I have an 83 GS1100E and when i rev the engine a "puff" of white smoke pops out where the exhaust conects to the head. Do i need to tighten the bolts or replace a part? I have repalced the spark plugs. I am cleaning the carbs on thursday. and i just rigged the fuel float.

You could check the torque on the headers and make sure it's nice and tight. If that doesn't help, take the headers off and check your exhaust gaskets.

Try snugging up the bolts. If that doesn't help the exhaust gaskets are similar to manifold donuts and don't cost much to replace.
