    Oil gallery plug 85 gs700

    Hello out there,
    I just recently replaced my oil pan and I put the oil gallery plug that is an allen wrench plug from the old pan into the new pan and when I fire the bike up I'm getting seepage of oil out of the area around this plug. This is the littlest plug in the oil pan and it is in the front left position of the oil pan right next to a larger bolt right behind it. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this seepage and if so, how did you correct it? It doesn't leak when the engine isn't running and I'm just wondering if I need a new plug or something else?
    Thanks a bunch, I've learned so much here which has allowed me to keep this bike in top running condition and I always appreciate feedback!

      Use a little teflon tape on it or thread sealer.

          Great idea, thanks, I'll try that.

          Will heat in this area eventually break this tape down, or does it seem to do the trick on down the road?

              The teflon will hold up. If it will work in a frying pan it will work for this.

                      tape works perfect and thanks again!

                      I'm oil free for now on the outside of the engine, so thanks again for the assist!
