Fuel line o-rings for '79 GS550L VM Carbs

I understand that the part I need is no longer available. The fuel line consists of a rubber tube with o-ring like ridges. Since I can't replace the o-rings, is there a sealant that I can dab on the "o-rings" to help seal the line?

    Other ideas?

    Thank you

I had the same problem. I searched around and finaly found some o-rings from a triumphdealer. They are a bit to thick, but i maneged to fit them (tight fit). Hmm i cant remember the dimention, sorry.

If yours are like my vm's they don't have o-rings, just ridges. You might try Hylomar. It's a polyureathane sealant the Pingle supplies with the base plate for their petcocks. I can verify it is very effective.

I tried this fix on the VM carbs on my GS1000 and it's still working great, maybe it'll work on your GS550.
