    airbox drain

After about 4 years I "just" noticed my stock airbox has a drain underneath & the hose is missing. I have the correct size tubing but not the routing. I sort of ran it down so it would drain out about 6 or 8 inches in front of the rear tire. Good idea?? Bad idea??? Your directions as to the correct routing are appreciated.

I think it's supposed to go through the gap between the swingarm and the engine cases.

      Hose Routing

On my 82 850 the hose is on the left side of the airbox, it comes straight down thru a round opening in the engine case which is directly beneath the airbox. It was designed for the hose to go thru as a support and it should extend down about 4 inches past the opening.
