I replaced the vacuum hose from my petcock to my carbs with a new 1/4" ID vinyl hose, and it's really loose. Much more so than the old hose. It says 1/4" ID right on the hose, so I'm a bit confused.

hmm, my vacumm hose is alot smaller than 1/4... infact, i think that's the size of my main fuel line...

Do you have the old vacuum hose? Bring it with you to your FLAPS (Friendly Local Auto Parts Store) and find something in the same size. 3/16" may fit better.... you need a tight fit for a good seal for the vacuum to work.Comment
