How much play when wiggle CHAIN - 78 GS1000

I am wondering how much wiggle up and down should there be in a chain when you touch it ?

I tend to adjust my road bikes to have just over an inch of play. Dirt bikes I normally double that.

Yeah, about that. I like to keep it around one inch.

Factory manual says .8" As said above, 1" is good. Don't let it get past 1 1/2".
Measure while on the centerstand.
