I've got a line on a set of forks from a 1980 GS1000E forks and was wondering if these will bolt right up to my '79 GS850G? They share the same frame don't they?

The inner fork tubes on a 850 are 37 MM. If that's what the 1100 uses, they should fit. The other issue is the front brake caliper mounts. -

Thanks for the info. I think it will bolt right up no problem. The only weirdness would be if the forks came from a 1000L because that model had a leading axel design.Comment
