    The infamous missing hose

    Hey people.

Thanks to helpful people like you, been doing some minor repair on my
    83 GS 1100 GK.

In the process some how a black hose popped off from the front (towards the front of the bike) of the box that holds the air cleaner. I sticks right out of the front and middle of the box.

Can anybody tell me where to stick that thing? :-D

Thanks guys. I am slow but trainable.

From your description it sounds like your crankcase vent tube. I'm not sure about your model but on mine it goes from the airbox to a fitting right at the top and center of the motor.

See piece #8 on this schematic.

see the little nipple sticking out in the back? I think that's it.

Right. It connects to the breather cover on top of the cam cover.

You're lucky we like you with a setup line like that, and will refrain from rude jokes.:-D

Hey Brian, head over to the Meeting Place forum. A group of us are planning on riding out that way the first weekend of October. Myself, I was just out in your neck of the woods last weekend.:-D
