well, i put the carbs back on, put airfilter in, and new plugs, and it fired up, but it is fouling plugs....it runs okay when it's running, but when you shut it off and try to restart it after a while, it seems like it floods itself.....so that may be why they are fouling, cause once it's running and it's warm, it runs and idles good...AND after letting it sit, gas drips out of the vaccum line coming off of the airbox....(left side) it seems to run nice and not blow black smoke or anything once it's running...how do i add more air, is there adjustment screws???

Are you sure your pet cack isn't leaking gas?

If all your plugs are fouling there are a couple of possibilities. Float levels may be too high or you could have bad o-rings on the float valve seats allowing fuel to get by and overfill the carbs. If the vacuum line on the petcock won't hold vacuum there is a problem there. Vacuum pulls a diaphram back in the petcock allowing fuel to flow when the engine is cranked or running. That would only effect the cylinder the vacuum line is coming off of though. My bet is on the floats being set wrong.

well the petcock was leaking, so i put in and inline one, and no more problems starting now....i think it still runs a little rich, so in winte ri will take it in for a carb job i think (no garage)
