clutch question.

Would running 10w30 rather than the recommended 10w40 contribute to a mildly slipping clutch? The reason I ask is I was running 20w50 before and it made the clutch stick.

OK, here we go with the Energy Conserving, friction modifier, molybdenum disulphide thing.

Real world... I'd say, no. The 10/30 is going to be rated an energy conserving oil, but from my experience it will not cause clutch slip. Old springs and abused plates are more likely to be the culprit.

I ran 10w30 Castrol exclusively in my 8 second drag bike for years with no issues. It should be fine.....Dont forget to pack some sammiches for the road.......BadBillyB
