    Newbie electrics question...

What is the electrical component situated between the regulator and fuse box? It is a 1-1/2 square box with a single glass fuse.
It is not pictured in either of the manuals that i own. Also the component is on the '79 GS1000E but not on the '78 GS1000E that i own.
There, i don't feel so embarassed asking a newbie question.
Thanks in advance for any info.

I have a factory Suzuki manual and an Aussie CycleServ manual. I guess they must be only for the '78 models. When you say it is for running accesories, what sort of thing do you mean? Electric vest? Battery tender? Auxilary lighting?
