    Electric part I.D.

Can anyone tell me the NAME and purpose of the part between the regulator and fuse box on my '79 GS1000E. It is a 1-1/2 square box with a single glass fuse.
Thanks in advance for any info.

The 79 1000E has a seperate regulator and regulator. It's one or the other. Probably the regulator. The rectifier connects directly to the stator.

That box with the single fuse is a 12 volt DC accessory outlet.

Thanks Jimcor. My '78 factory Suzuki manual does not show it.
The part itself is on the '79 GS1000E and is not on my '78 GS1000E. Radar detectors are illegal in Ontario or i could take advantage of the outlet. Maybe a lighter. Nah.
        Thanks, Steve.
