    Brand new battery...is it good?

Brand new Energizer for my 80gs1000e. Filled to spec, trickle charged. After sitting for 24 hours its settled to reading 12.6 on the meter. Is that OK? I thought it was supposed to be 12.8?

    Yep

According to the chart I have, 12.6 is considered to be a fully charged battery.:-D

      Excellent, thanks.

Now to put it in the bike and test the charging system. I should be seeing 13.5 - 14.0 at 4,000 rpms right? 8-[

        Yep

It might take 5000 rpms to get that voltage but if you're in the 'ballpark', I think you're fine.:-D (If you didn't have charging problems before getting the new battery, you shouldn't have any problems now.)
