    I'm just here,...

...because for once, I don't have to be.

(Question follows several posts down. I was naughty. ~Mike)

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

Sorry, man. Just havin' a bit of fun because I was so excited that the help I got here led me to getting my bike running perfectly. Didn't mean to cause trouble.

                    Actually, I can make amends,...

...I'm thinking about switching out my 19" front wheel with something slightly smaller. I don't need to go to 16" or anything, but 18" or 17" might be nice.

What kind of problems would I encounter? Any way to make my speedometer/odometer still be consistent without switching it out? This whole project will have the dual benefit of allowing me to switch to dual front discs, although if it's a big deal, I have an extra 19" wheel with dual discs on it, just need the right fork with the caliper mount and a new master cylinder, correct?

                      No such fork leg exists

you'll need fork tubes from a dual disc bike, the smaller discs and calipers

Sorry, that's what I meant. Fork tube.

Hmmmm,...wouldn't the fork tubes from an earlier 1000 work? Some of those models had dual discs. The L 750's did too, but they had the leading axles, which I want no part of.

It would probably cause your idle to be erratic and frequent stalling combined with a big rise in rpm when hot and...

Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Am I wrong in thinking I can get the right side fork tube from a 1100 with the caliper and master cylinder? I've already got a 19" wheel from a 750L with the dual discs.

                              Am I missing something?
