Key # 304
Help. I bought an "82GS on ebay and want to fix it up. It didn't come with keys, so I was wondering if anyone has a key that would fit it. It has the number 304 stamped on the gas cap and on the seat lock. If you have that key #, I was wondering if you could make a copy and send it to me. I'll pay you for your trouble. I promise I won't come steal your bike.

Your local Suzuki dealer can cut you a key too... but they will probably ask you to bring in the ignition cylinder to prove that you own the bike.

Thanks, for the info. My buddy is the mechanic there. I'd bet he could do without taking the cylinder in. Never thought of the easy way.Originally posted by mattdezYour local Suzuki dealer can cut you a key too... but they will probably ask you to bring in the ignition cylinder to prove that you own the bike.

My local locksmith cut me a new key from his computer info. I've got a thread in the tips section called Steering Lock Miracle (I think) about it.
I thought it was a bit weird, really. A twenty one year old key and the computer has the info. And only three ID numbers made me wonder how many riders could swap keys at a Suzuki meet. :-)
