Not me
I haven't heard of that header. Sorry. BTW, where in Philly are you located? I live in Roxborough, and there is a group of GS riders within about a 100-mile radius, and we sometimes do a really nice Central PA ride, so if you're interested in riding, give me a shout.1979 GS 1000Comment

I might buy it to see. If I don't like it, I can always re-sell it.
Anyhow, I'm from south philly. I'd love to take a ride through central PA with fellow GSers...

I have a basement full of GS and Vetter parts, in doubles and tripplicate. I told myself, yea, if I .......fill in any blank here, i can always re-sell it. Somehow i ended up with (3) 82GS1100GLZ bikes. I have never sold a thing on e-bay.
Any ways, thats my problem.
My first 57 Chevy Belair i bought in 68 had Hooker headers and Thrush mufflers.
MANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN what a sweet sound. Had pumped up small block, 4 barrell holley, 3 speed on the floor with Hurst mystery shifter. Use to keep a spare trans in the trunk. Could swap it out on the road in 20 minutes flat. Cost $25.00 for exchange transmission at the junk yard. Its not just how i remember it. Things where better back than. First bike in70 was a 68 BSA lighting. Another great sound. British twins have the best exhaust sound. First GS i bought was new in 78. GS750E, black with blue pinstripe. I love my GS bikes, but he exhaust sound of any asian bike just doesn't do it for me. They all seem like they are whining. So, for me, stock GS exhaust is best. Unless they can make sound like a Hurley. Hey, I agree, go for it. You got nothing to loose.Comment

Anything is better than a MAC. They fit OK, I just think the sound sucks.
At least on my GS1000. (Others like 'em cause they're real quite.)

Normally, they're planned and listed in the GS Meetingplace forum. I'll keep you local guys in mind if something gets set up, or if I'm in the mood for a medium length ride (4-5 hours total). I frequently ride down to Eastern Shore Maryland, to Rock Hall, where I have a project sailboat>1979 GS 1000Comment

I'll keep it in mind. I'm only about 15 minutes from you. In addition to the organized rides, which are usually planned and listed on the GS Meetingplace forum, I'll ride on any reasonably warm day any time of the year. Sometimes I ride down to Eastern Shore Maryland, about 2 hrs from Philly> I'll keep you in mind if we get a decent day.1979 GS 1000Comment
