I've been going through the wiring on my '83 550E, and ran into a snag. When I disconnected the three yellow wires from the alternator, I did not note how they were hooked together at their first connection (the banana plug about 18" from the alternator), or at the R/R. The p/o must have broken the plug at the r/r too, because each yellow wire is plugged individually to the r/r male plug, rather than all being mounted in the white plastic plug that holds their orientation. So I have three yellow wires, two different points where I can mess up their orientation, and my manual only shows them as yellow, with no note as to how they plug in. Sorry if this is confusing...its sort of hard to put into words. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Lee
