    Pilots jets

    Hi,
I bought some larger pilot jets, the ones I bought have 4 holes perpendicular to the main hole through the center of the carb. The ones that were on the bike have only the hole through the center. Can I use these jets?
    Thanks,
    Nick

Also, it has 6 holes, not 4

Did you up to the 40 on the pilot jets? Do your new ones look like this

If they do I'd use them. These are mikuni jets made for the BS32SS carbs(among others) which are your stock carbs.

With the pods and Supertrapp did you go to a Dynojet?
Where did you get those jets? Are they mikuni? I buy my jets from Dennis Kirk or locally.
If they fit, they're mikuni and they say 40 on them(this guages gas flow and not size) try them. If they don't work return them. I've had no problems returning jets.

no dynojet kit, just larger main and shimmed needles. and well now the pilots, I will give them a try, I will tell you how it goes in a few minutes....
                  Thanks,

I got the pilots in, they seemed to work just fine. I needed to turn my idle mix adjust screws way down. there now set at ~1.
                    Thanks for you help,

I had to do the same with my 1100. Glad it worked out for you.

I had a smillar question, i bought a Keyster carb kit for my bike, most of the jets appeared to match but there was a lot of unmatching parts (ie, jet needle, clips, fuel valve, etc).

The original jets looked like Nicholaschase29's and the ones in the kit looked like chef1366's... I ended up putting the originals back in as i did not know if the differences would cause problems

If you have your black plugs in, It won't make any difference. I'm 99% sure...
