81 gs550l pilot fuel screw setting

What is the proper setting for the pilot fuel screw? It's not in my clymers. I have mine all the way in since I think that is the way it came. Thanks.

1-1/2 turn OUT from fully seated. This is the starting point, you can adjust the screw as much as 1/2 extra turn either way to achieve the best idle.

That is for the pilot fuel screw just above the main jet correct? I don't want to confuse it with the air screw that is accessible outside the carb. THanks again!

My comment was for the air screw outside the carb. Pilot JET should be snug, just like the main jet. It is not an adjustable screw.
