    breather hose ?

this is my first bike and i've had some questions
    this site has been great
    with that said
there is a breather hose that is attached to the top of the engine, from between the two cyliners
today i was looking at my throttle cable and happened to notice that the other end of this hose was not attached to anything ... should it be?

On the non-engine side of your carbs there should be an airbox. (attached to your carbs with a filter box) If you have pods (individual filters) you need to get a crankcase breather.

No Chief, read it again. It's the top "FRONT" of the air box.
