I got a shock off the spark plug wire while the bike was running. Is that normal?

Nope. That's not normal.

Check your plug and plug gap. Look at the wire for insulation cracks and breaks. (Do this in the dark with a grounded screwdriver and watch for the arc.)
Is the plug cap original? Replace them all they're cheap. Less than $20 for all 4.

No. The wires are bleeding through for some reason. Old, cracked?

They could be original looks cracked.

I found a set of Dyna wires on Z1Enterprises for $16, plus shipping. I have a related question, however. How do you replace them on the coil end? Don't they go straight into the coil, instead of having some sort of a connector?
