To elucidate on chef's excellent diagram:
Unscrew #12. On this type of rim, it will have a "catch" on the opposite side. Pivot the rim on the catch and it should come off. IIRC, you then have two screws holding part #3 on. That may be what screw #6 is.
Be careful at this point, sometimes the headlight bulb itself wants to fall out. It is held on by the connector, but no sense in putting a strain on a 27 year old wiring harness.
Part #3 is either attached to part #2 or the headlight shell itself. It is not clear from the diagram and I have not worked on this configuration in over 30 years. Uhh, I mean months?
Anyhow, you will eventually be able to remove the sealed beam bulb and replace it. Screw #8 and spring #9 are used to aim the beam after replacing the bulb. It is imperative that this be done. Usually, a garage door at night is ideal for doing this. But that is another subject altogether.
Hope this helps.Comment

Your bike probably has the small headlight ONLY available at the dealer ???
If it was mine I would think about an upgrade to a H4 style headlight assemblyComment

Any chance you would be interested in a 6-inch light with a replaceable H4 bulb? 8-[
I have one sitting here that came off my wife's 850L. Complete with chrome housing, all in near-perfect condition. If interested, drop me a note at: swoodin653 at aol dot com.
