    Carb swap

1981 GS1100EX BS34SS carbs. I have two sets, but #1 carb has broken float post, other set has round off jet top.The one under little metal cap also #1 carb. Can I replace it with #2 #3#4 or is this a no can do?They are OME#49200. Have set of OME#49220 I belive from 1983 unknown model, are they interchangable with my other carbs? Thanks for any advice.

Just swap the jets and needle and add it to the rack.

Individual carbs are different as far as I know you need to swap 1 with 1 2 with 2 etc

Yeah, they can only be assembled one way.

Now that my brain works after a good night sleep. You can't switch carbs on the bank with a diferent number carb. Take the #1 with the rounded idle mixture screw to a machine shop and get it removed. Then switch all the jets add to the rack.
You can also fix float posts with JB Weld. Do a search on this because it's been talked about here many times.
