Looking at getting a headlight bucket and this guy has one off a '80 850G. Just wondering if this would fit my '81 650G? Would most of the cosmetic parts off this bike work on mine?

You can measure the distance between the headlight ears to see if the other bucket will work. Are they both round? Are they the same size?Comment

The 850 forks are about an inch wider so the headlight may be too wide.
Engine guards are bound to be different since the 850 is a much bigger frame and engine package. I would go with what is supposed to work1981 GS650G , all the bike you need
