it looks like the culprit was the little bast**d in-line fuel filter

There are riders around here who love their inline fuel filters and have no trouble with them, but for the rest of us these filters are NOTORIOUS for producing the symptoms you describe. MY BIKE DID THE EXACT SAME THING.GS 1000.I replaced the petcock,no more problems.The fuel cap thing is unlikely.I never knew if i was going to get somewhere or not until i replaced it.future owner of some year and displacement GS bike,as yet unclaimed and unowned.Comment
