Katana Clutch cable

Howdy folks,

I've done a search and was unable to find a satisfactory solution to my problem. I'm amazed at the amount of useful knowledge to be had at this website. My question is this: I have a 1982 Katana 1000 (GS1000SZ) in need of a new clutch cable. Problem is my Dennis Kirk catalog doesn't list a part number for this bike. Sooo...Is there any other clutch cable that will be a suitable replacement? I'm looking in the direction of an "E" model, but don't know if it has the bent metal tube or not....
Any help is super appreciated...

Did you check both OEM & aftermarket? Hard to believe they aren't still available. I would think the later 1100 Katana would use the same cable as the 1000. I'd try Motion Pro.

I haven't checked OEM yet, I don't like my local Suzuki dealer. Buncha snobs what with their GSX-R's and Victory's. But where's the heritage, I ask? Where's the style? But I digress... I would think they are still available too, but I don't want to pay a fortune for one...Will check BikeBandit and see what they have. I think the later Kat (88-93) was a hydraulic clutch.
