I am looking for a flywheel for my 82 1000S Katana. I have looked on Suzuki Micro Fiches and it says that the 82 1000 Katana and the 83 1100 Katana have the same flywheel. I cant find these anywhere. I am wondering if anyone knows if I can use any other flywheel off a 16 valve motor that will work or that might be the same. Not sure if 750, 1000, 1100?? Anything?

I think the 82-83 Kat ran a smaller taper on the end of the crankshaft. Not sure what other models have the smaller taper. Maybe an XN85.GS\'s since 1982: 55OMZ, 550ES, 750ET, (2) 1100ET\'s, 1100S, 1150ES. Current ride is an 83 Katana. Wifes bike is an 84 GS 1150ES -

I have a flywheel that I found in a pile of parts I have. The numbers on it are: LMZ18 037000-1790 12BX. Does anyone know if theres a way to use those numbers to find out what year and model it came off of? I have done internet searches and look on micro fiches and have had no luck with the number.
