Okay, I took everything apart on Sunday and did it again. Same result.
I got in contact with Performance Cycles in Monroe, NC for some added support. This is an indy shop who has done nothing but rebuild & race Kawi & Suzuki's for years. I explained everything to him and let him set me straight.
In a nutshell, I did everything right and he told me to make sure the two notches on the end of the camshaft point directly at on another. If they do, and I am counting 20 pins from mark to mark on the cam gears, then I am as close as I can get.
