    highest rpm method - GS850GLD?

Can some one explain how to tune the carbs using the highest rpm method? I have a 1983 GS850GLD which has CV carbs so I dont even know if this is applicable

    Plugs

First, check to see if the round, metal plugs are still in place on the top of each carb. The mixture screws are underneath them (thanks to the EPA). If so, you wouldn't be able to do it until they were removed.

I drilled those out when I rebuilt the carbs

Should I do a carb sync then highest RPM method or vice versa? Is it normal for the mixture screw to be at different settings than each other?

The different carbs should be relatively close to one another (within 1/2 I think). I'd to the mixture adjustment before doing the sync since that is closest to the actual riding condition as possible.
