I don't really know. We don't get together much, and this was something he mentioned about a year ago. I can't even tell the difference between a Piper and a Cessna. He owns a FBO in Angleton, and he's always got a different toy to play with, so there's no telling what that engine came from. But hey, the Y2K bike's working (just ask Jay Leno) although that scene from Torque was pure BS. I don't know exactly how he's planning on building the bike, but next time I talk to him I'll try to get more details (such as what the engine came from) and try to talk him into taking some pics.
I know he did help a buddy build an airboat (those "swamp buggies" so popular in Louisiana) using a helicopter tail rotor. You can adjust the pitch for variable speed and even reverse. I wonder if he ever came up with a motor for that 24' pontoon boat he has........
