does the 83 450 l have the same carbs as any other bike on the market around the same time?

you can check by going to german GS site:
click on model you want to compare it to...... click on Technische Daten up on top..... and look for Vergaser, Typ (close to the bottom). Will tell you what kind of carb just about any GS bike has/had.Frosty (falsely accused of "Thread-Hijacking"!)

Kawasaki also used alot of mukuni BS carbs during that time period if you are looking for parts. Probably 32 mm carbs not 34mmComment
