i'm looking to fit spoked wheels on my gs750e earlystocks racer here in england so i can change my front and lace on an 18" alloy rim instead of using a 19".assuming i'm gonna get a pair of alloy rims-what width for the front and back would be suitable and what size of tyres could i use,any advice would be helpful,thanks for the great site

Front rim should be 2.5 x 18 running a 100/90. Continital TKV 11 is a semi soft front and a good tyre. Back rim you can go for a 4.25 x 18 running a Pirelli MT08 140/80 which should give nice traction and milage. That is what i run and it can lift the front even on a wet road. Anyway it should be a good starting point. On the old days you could use the spoked back wheel off a Katana and buy a nice wide back rim and lace the Katana rim onto the front saving a bit of money. All 750/1100 spoked front rims are the same. -
