Pipe and pods Q that doesnt involve jetting..

The moron PO of my bike cut the baffle in an otherwise PERFECT VH 4into1...Ive checked Vance and Hines site, but i cant find crap on there (their site is amazingly poorly set up) and i would like to find a new one.

Second, i want good pods...these are crap, Suggestions?? keep in mind im not rich here...

    Thanks guys

I run the K&N ovals, p/n RC 2454. Love 'em. Not cheap but they're worth it to me.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Sweet! I think im going to wait till spring to purchase and tune for the emgos right now, i know ill have to rejet once i switch, but i plan on taking this motor down over the winter anyway...i just wanna get to a point where i know im kinda on the right track with jet sizes, vaccum issues, etc. If i switch to those K&Ns am i prolly going to have to go with BIGGER jets or back off a little? Ive heard varying reports on the emgos saying they let too much air in, some say not enough...whats your opinion??

            Thanks!

The K&Ns have the best air flow available. Why jet twice?

already been at it....gonna change a battery cable or both, prolly both, I HATE HATE car wiring...i dont have the patience for it, so if i dont find it soon its going to the shop. Doesnt help its a Volvo and its 22 years old...heh. Might just be time for a new cage...paid 600 for her, and got alot of miles out of her, but if this isnt it and the repair is more than that, shes goin out the door or to the scrap yard. Guy next door has a cage for a grand that looks and runs good. We'll see...

Best advice I can give in this case is to test and do what the performance/plugs say.
Know way to be sure until you do that.

I've worked a few wiring issues on a Volvo 240DL station wagon (and a straight up 240 station wagon used for the dogs)... You test the voltage regulator? I fried out two batteries and replaced the alternator 3 times trying to figure out what was going and found out the voltage regulator was bad...

(See I've been having R/R issues since before I bought a GS)
