Gasket questions 1000 v. 1100

Hello all,

Did a search and was unsuccessful (story of my life..). What I need to know is what are the differences in gasket sets for 1100 vs. 1000 cc? I'm in the middle of a rebuild of my 82 GS 1000 SZ (Yeah, the Katana) and am having trouble finding a complete set a la Vesrah, etc... So my plan is to buy a complete set for an 1100, and the correct (for the Kat) head, base, and base O rings separately. Anything else different?
I can't just buy a set for a 1000S as it has a different bore than my Kat's 66.4something or 68.whatever it may be...(1000S bore is 70.something or other).

I suspect the cam end plugs and the crank/transmission seals are all the same, but not having any other motorcycles, I can't verify that.

I am pretty certain the 1100 set will work, to measure is to know.
Get the 1100 set and check them before ordering any others, the bore size is the difference, so you only need to check the head and base gaskets.

But I wonder if the larger bore 1100 head gasket will increase my displacement/decrease compression (however minutely)?
Any thoughts?

Only if you bore the cylinders and put the larger pistons in it. (concerning displacement)

Thanks for the reply, hilarious. I was just wondering if, because the ID of the 1100 head gasket was oversized compqred to my scrawny little pistons, would it affect compression (more than displacement, really), thereby increasing area inside the cylinder? Or is it just stroke that differs for the 1100's?
