    450 Gauges on a 750?

Any reason I can't use the gauges from my '81 450L on my '83 750T? It only goes to 85, but I never go faster than that since it would be in excess of posted speed limits...

...right. Anyway, this should work, yes?

Should be no problem. ALL japanese bikes use the same gear ratio for the speedo..i think its something like 2600:60 and the tach should be the same way as well i would think...at least with the same tranny design. The biggest problem you may have is bracket mount spacing, but i have a set of 550 gauges that may go on my 750B and all I'll have to do is bend the bracket to my liking as the L models tend to sit the gauges more upright due to the seating arrangement's line of sight.

Sweet. This will be a temporary fix until I can find a better alternative I'm willing to spend money on.

Might have to use the 750's original tach. It's just the speedo and middle cluster that's f*cked.
