Well, im not sure with a stock airbox, but with pod filters, everyone round these parts suggests that you remove the vent hoses. So id imagine it wouldnt run worse.. -

It will run fine w/out it. If you have a stock airbox I'd put it back on so you keep water and dirt out of the float bowls.Comment

Mine has never had any on..... It runs fine & no crap in the bowls when I pulled them apart after 6k miles.

You don't really need them. They are there as a safety measure to make sure no crap gets into the bowls.
