    Need Eng Specs Please

Need to know the exact differences between the 2 valve GS1000G engines and the 2 valve GS1100GL motor.

    Bore & Stroke ?

    Crankcase differences?

    Tranny/Gearing differences?

    Internal parts compatibility?

Please bear in mind both these engines are 2 valve shafties. the 1000 is an '80 and the 1100 I believe is either '82 or '83.

    Any personal experiences welcomed.

When I was in Reno with the Guys Kent had a 1100GL. The engines appear to be externally identical, same carbs etc. I would guess it's an over bore, possibly a slightly longer stroke to get the 1100.
