How stiff should the rear wheel be on 1000GLT?

I picked up a GS1000GLT and find the rear drive turns with a lot of drag / resistance. This is my first drive shaft bike and I was wonder what the normal resistance should be when turning the rear wheel.

With the bike on the Center stand, You should be able to rotate the wheel with Your booted foot but it will not "Free" wheel. Some resistance due to the drive system is normal but if it is overly stiff check to make sure You don't have a rear brake dragging.

NO the drive spline provides enough resistance that it won't rotate Freely.
