When I bought the bike it has NGK B7ES spark plugs in the machine. The book and resourses says it needs B8ES's. I know they are cheap and i have a set on the way but why would the previous owner have them in there. A would it make that big of a difference for the bike not to run properly? and B what reasons would that person have knowingly replaced the sparks with the wrong ones?
Its an 82 GS850 with only 28K miles on it. I have already replaced the ignition with a dyna s. I am not sure what a switched positive is? I need to connect the wire to a switched positive. I can connect it straight to positive and get the sparks that I need. Can anyone lend a hand?
Final question. There are two different ignition coils on the bike. One is a black color suzuki 33410-34210, 129700-0850. The other is a tan clearly old looking one with no information on it. They both seem to fire fine except that every now and then only cylinder 1 will fire and then every now and then only 2,3, and 4 will fire. I know its a long shot but has anyone else ever ran into this problem? Thank You
