GS1100g Ignition module

I have a 1983 GS1100G with a blown ignition module(TDI) is there another unit I can replace it with ?

You can buy a Dyna S for about 130 bucks, or if you're interested. I have a serviceable Igniter from my 1981 GS1000G that I'll let go pretty cheap, send me a PM.

The 83 has an advance curve built into the igniter. I'm not sure if the 81 does.

I bet you are right chef... probably have to put a mechanical advance on it. I'd just get the Dyna.
