Being an 81, I would think that you're likely using BS32SS carbs. I may be wrong, as ive never really investigated the set up of a 450, but generally after 80, i do believe just about every bike on the road was using some form of constant velocity carburetors. And the BS32SS were used on everything GS that I am aware of from 750 down. Yes there are jet kits still available, thru DynoJet. If you're simply switching to a aftermarket pipe, and NOT changing your intake (still using the stock airbox) then you'll likely need only the Stage One jet kit. However, I would investigate with DynoJet and MAC on their suggestions. Some pipes suggest that rejet is not necessary.

WOW! That big? Well i guess that makes sense, two cylinders with a larger bore than that of a four would require more fuel?

Plan on doing some serious rejetting, or check Dynojet for a kit.

second that, BS34SS, prob. series 44100 or similar, check main jets to confirm that they are mikuni, not keihin (different outside diameter)

my -81 (ex) use Keihin jets in the mikuni carb - can be confusing.

                regards
